Charleston, SC, June 1, 2010 – Musicorp, a leading distributor and manufacturer of musical instruments, lighting products and accessories, sponsored the 10th annual Bocce Ball Tournament in Charleston, SC for the sixth year in a row to help benefit the Special Olympics! A great community event, the tournament was held on May 22nd at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island.

This year 128 teams competed and in return the Bocce Ball Tournament netted over $90,000 for Special Olympics! Part of this money will support and sponsor 15 Special Olympians from South Carolina and their travel to the 2010 Special Olympics USA National Games being held July 18-23, 2010 in the Lincoln, Nebraska. Musicorp volunteers included Linda Parker, Brad Wallace, Phil Constantin and Darin Manuel. Sales Representative, Darin Manuel, was recipient of the “Rookie of the Year” award with an extremely strong performance. Musicorp is proud to once again sponsor the Special Olympics!

According to Musicorp Sales Representative and Musicorp Bocce Ball Team Organizer, Brad Wallace, “We are very proud that Musicorp was able to again support this worthwhile cause and have a direct effect on our community and specifically these 15 special athletes. Much thanks goes out to those who participated!”
